1. nitrile rubber
Nitrile rubber is generally used as a valve seat material for butterfly valves, and its temperature resistance is not very good, so butterfly valves manufactured are generally not used in high temperature environments. However, the nitrile rubber has excellent abrasion resistance and deformation resistance.

2. ethylene propylene rubber
The temperature range of ethylene propylene rubber is similar to that of nitrile rubber, but it is one to twenty degrees higher than the nitrile rubber at the upper temperature limit. It is also the material used for the valve seat of butterfly valves. The advantages are good insulation performance, excellent ozone resistance, and no reaction with inorganic media. Therefore, butterfly valves made of ethylene propylene rubber are generally used for the transportation of water and alcohol pipes.

Teflon has excellent temperature resistance and is highly resistant to chemicals, which is commonly known as corrosion resistance. However, due to the special needs of some butterfly valves, the modification of Teflon and the elimination of its insulation properties make the insulation properties of Teflon not guaranteed.
